Samuel Smith was a justice of the peace at Eastham for many years.
The will of Samuel Smith, Esq., of Wellfleet, dated 18 April and proved 11 Oct. 1768, mentioned wife Sarah and "household goods she brought into my estate before the death of her father," heirs of late som Zoeth, viz. Zoheth, Richard, Elizabeth, Samuel, and Ruth Smith; heirs of dau. Bathsheba Atwood, viz. Abigail, Martha, John, William, Bathsheba, Thankful, Anna and Zoheth; heirs of dau. Martha Rich, deceased, viz. Martha Rich and Abigail young; dau. Abigail Eldridge (wife of Jesse), dau. Susanna Atwood and son Joseph Smith. |
