| Richard's will is published in the Published Probate Records of Essex County, p. 186. He names his son, John a minor; dau. Sarah and her children "if she come over"; wife Emma; Mary Kent, dau. of his bro. Stephen; and John Bishop. He names John Bishop, William Tittcum and Richard Bartlett to be overseers of his will until John comes of age. Christopher Bartlett, brother of Richard, is named to act in the stead of any of the other overseers who may become deceased before John reaches the age of nineteen. Richard also leaves the first Salmon that is caught in his weir each year, to Mr. Noyes and the second to Mr. Roggers of Rowley. Will dated May 22 1654, proved 26:7:1654 by the witnesses, William Chandler and John Trimman. The Inventory taken by John Sanders and John Bartlett included about 80 acres of various plots of land.
