| John W. Nanney, migrated from Virginia to Kentucky, where he met his wife Eleanor Williams and where married in 1816, according to FHC Book 976.9 B4c V.8 page 8, "Kentucky Vital Statistics 1799 to 1901". About 1816, James R. Nanney was born to John and Eleanor in Mullenburg Kentucky. Shortly after this they moved with their young baby to Spencer Co. Indiana and bought 236 acres of land southwest of Rockport where they had 8 more children. |
