| Perhaps Abigail never married. A letter from Thomas H. Harper speaks of Abby as if she was living with him and in David R. Harper's obituary it mentions her and uses her maiden name. So, from this I am assuming she never married. According to the Highgate, Franklin County VT 1850 census, Abigail was listed as handicapped, "deaf and dumb." Abigail finished her life living with her sister, Margaret Harper Shepard and is buried in MI.1659 | ||||||||||
