1636Ephraim was of Acton in 1742 when he sold land in Becket, Massachusetts.1637 In 1740 he bought two tracts of land in Rutland, and sold them in 1742 and 1747.1638 The will of his father, George Robbins, made in 1746, refers to Ephraim as "of Rutland," but by 1748 he had removed to Killingly, Connecticut, where his daughter Lydia was born. He bought land in Killingly in 1748 and 1765, selling it to his son Silas in 1773.1639
1636About 1785, Ephraim removed to Amherst, Massachusetts. He was active in Shay's Rebellion, taking the oath of allegiance in February 1787.1640 He died intestate, and son Isaac was apointed administrator of the estate. Heirs listed were the widow Lydia, Ephraim, Silas, Willard, John, Joseph, Isaac, Lydia, and Katharine Robins, and the children of Elizabeth Andrews deceased. For some reason, son Amos was "allowed nothing."1641 |
