| 239George was the proprietor of the Barrows Saloon & Billiard Hall of Nelsonville. He also worked in a sawmill and drove the local express wagon. He learned the shoemaker trade, was on a whaling vessel for 15 years, worked as a section hand on the Grand Trunk Railroad, and worked in a chair factory. He enlisted in Co. F 23rd Regimentof O Infantry. He was also a foreman of trhe switchyard at Piqua. for C&C RR. |
