| 787Eber Crandall lived in Martha's Vineyard or New Bedford, MA until the birth of his fourth child and was warned by a friendly Indian. He then fled to Wyoming Valley, PA prior to the massacre. He and his two sons on foot and his wife followed on horseback with the two smaller children. Upon reaching Hudson River, he built a hut in Washington County where his wife died. He and his first wife and at least one child are buried in the Edie Farm. |
