| Captain Hugh Bowen (1834-1910) married Dorcas Hamilton, daughter of Captain Ambrose Hamilton (Son Jonathan's). He came to Chebeague at the age of seven on the Sloop "Little Hero" with Captain Jacob Littlefield. He had shares in the Sloop Jenny Lind and was Captain.
