1352Enlisted as a volunteer for Ohio in the Civil War. At the expiration of his enlistment he re-enlisted for three years, availing himself of a furlough to visit his home in Jaffrey. he came as far as Wheeling, VA, where after a few days illness he died on his 23rd birthday.
