1303This Samuel Smith was identified as son of Samuel in his death record and was called "Jr." in his marriage record. Grandsons Samuel and Joseph Smith, sons of the eldest son Samuel, were mentioned in the 1697 settlement of the estate of this Samuel's father.
Administration of the estate of Samuel Smith, Jr., late of Eastham, was granted to Batshua Smith, relict, on 1 April 1693, the record mentioning "eldest son" Samuel and "youngest son" Joseph. On 3 July 1714 said sons received their shares from their guardian and "honored father" Samuel Freeman.
