282The first records we have of a Robert Weymouth are in the Calendar of the Trelaway Plantation, Richmond Island and Spurwink (afterwards Falmouth and now Cape Elizabeth, Maine). Robert Waymouth came in the Hunter in 1634 (List #21, Volume 3, Maine Documents). He signed the submission to Massachusetts dated 16 Nov 1652 (Documentary History pp. 24-25 Vol. 4). Kittery grants 1653. Robert was a fisherman and mariner. From the History of Old Eliot page 47, John Green, legal owner of Franks Fort (an island in the Piscataqua River near lower Mast Cove) in 1648, later he received grants up the river in Berwick and moved there. His acres near Mast Cove were divided when the house he built and 50 acres went by sale to Robert Weymouth. In 1663, described as lying near Franks Fort between the island land of Richard Rogers and Richard Green, Sr. went to James Emery. He and his wife Elizabeth sold it to Stephen Robinson in 1663. Joseph Hammond bought it in April 1679 for fourty pounds. This was in Kittery until 1810 when it became Eliot.

Robert was administrator to the estate of his brother William. New Hampshire State papers Vol. 40 court records 1640-1692 p. 107, 27 Jun 1654. Isles of Shoals, now ME.

Robert died intestate, Major Sharpleigh adminstered and his inventory in 1662 was 60 pounds - 5 shillings.

Records state that William was a Cooper, but not clear as to brother William or son William.
