to Canada, but later returned. They resided in S. Berwick, ME. Her gravestone may still be seen int he Old Fields, Cemetary in South Berwick. |

| He md. (2) Sarah ??? and he and his second wife deed land to his son Thomas, in Dec. 1711. It is also written He was living in Mr. Love's house when Salmon Falls was sacked, Mar. 1689-90, and that he was captured with his wife and infant son, that her brother James Plaisted, another captive wrote that Thomas had killed one French man, and wounded another in the attack and was to be tried by a council of war, but was free before his wife was redeemed in Oct. 1695., That Thomas Goodwin was an ensign, that his estate was taxed 20 Nov. 1713, and administration granted to his widow, 26 mar.1714 and that the widow was living in 1740.
