| 1350Joseph's will, made April 1, 1748, was proved Sept. 4, 1749. To his wife Mary he left his negro man named Ben Tuel, one-quarter part of his interest in a sloop he was building, all his movable estate within doors, one-half of his cattle, horses, sheep and swine, one-half of his movable estate out of doors, the use of his house "that was Oldhams," the land on the westerly side of the highway that went by his new house and one-third of his land on the north river, the real estate for life, the personal estate for ever. To daughter Hannah Hatch the real estate given his wife after her death and one-quarter of his interest in the sloop. Residue to son Benjamin Hatch. Executors: son Benjamin and cousin Israel Hatch. Witnesses: David Lapham, Joseph Lapham Junr., Joshua Lapham. Israel Hatch renounced executorship. The estate was valued at £6310.2032 |
