| 1350His will, dated Jan. 3 1733, was probated Nov. 3, 1740. To his son Israel he gave half of the farm given him by his father Walter Hatch and on which he was living, except half an acre on which the fulling mill stood at the north end of the Point cove. To his son David, the house and land at Bridgewater bought from John Hammer, Eleanor Carver and John Hayward, also the lot of land at Pembroke bought of Charles Little, also all his apparel, small brass scales and little leaden weights. To his youngest son Jonathan, the half of the farm on which he lived, east of highway which ran through the farm, given him by his father Walter Hatch, with his part of the grist mill standing thereon, also all his meadow in Scituate, also the upper part of Green island, bought of the town of Marshfield, also half of the cedar swamp in Hanover, all his horses, one-half of his greater scales, meat tubs, the chest in which he kept his writings and a small cupboard marked W H. To daughter Lydia, wife of Timothy Rogers, one-half of his movables. To his granddaughters Lidia and Elizabeth Rogers, his bed. To all of his children, his books. Executor: son Israel Hatch. |
