Please note the two references to Studley's in New England that may give us some clues as to which branch may have gone to Maine. Savage loses track of John Studley of Boston and mentions that he may have removed elsewhere. At that time, the reason for removal was usually for religious reasons (i.e. Quaker). A James Studley shows up in Portsmouth around 1700, but there are no clues given as to where he came from. Hope this gives us a starting point to track Joanna.
